Current position

PhD Student in Biomedicine

PhD research work focused on the development of automatic recognition methods, based on image processing and pattern recognition, to allow an accurate classification among a large group of morphological abnormalities in the leucocytes circulating in the peripheral blood, which correspond to specific lymphoid neoplasms and acute leukaemias.

Education

    • Master in Biomedicine (Speciality in basic and cancer translacional research), Universitat de Barcelona (2017).
    • Degree in Biochemistry, Universitat de Barcelona (2016).

Research interests

Achieve a more objective, accurate and reproductive morphologic analysis evaluation of blast cells. Automatic discrimination of blast cells from different lineage using digital image processing. This cooperative research is starting between Core Laboratory (Hospital Clínic of Barcelona) and CoDAlab in order to develop algorithms and a new methodology which could be helpful for haematological diagnosis.
