She is focusing on managing big patient data (data collection, mangement and statistical analysis), as well as collaborating on the development of objective methodologies (measurement and data analytics) for the assessment of brain function during standard clinical assessments, and helping to establish novel tools for risk assessment of patients at risk of faints and falls as Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and gait monitoring.
She has lately focused on the red blood cell segmentation for malaria detection using deep learning in the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona and Technical University of Catalonia. She was a research fellow in The Institute of Photonic Science (ICFO) handling the biological research by preparing culture media and assessing the growth, viability and vitality of Phytoplankton using optical and fluorescent microscopy and spectophotometry, and collaborating with the software development and execution of an imaging flow cytometer. She was an undergraduate researcher in Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) reproducing different protocols from literature to synthesize nanoparticles and nanotubes.
